Neurological Rehabilitation Expertise
MS physiotherapy that comes to you
MS affects movement in ways that vary between people and vary within the same person from week to week. Fatigue, balance changes, muscle tightness, weakness and altered walking are all common, and they do not follow a predictable schedule.
myNeuro delivers MS physiotherapy at home in order to assess how you are presenting, and create a personalised rehabilitation plan to help you become as independent as possible. Physiotherapy does not cure MS, but we support function, mobility and independence, whilst preventing secondary complications, which is a meaningful difference in day-to-day life.
The expertise we provide for MS patients
Fatigue-aware rehabilitation
Exercise is one of the more counter-intuitive areas in MS, because many people avoid it expecting fatigue to worsen. Current evidence points the other way: structured exercise can support fatigue management, with resistance and balance retraining showing particularly promising results. Our physiotherapists tailor their interventions to your energy and fatigue levels, rather than following a standard template.
Balance retraining and falls prevention
Falls risk in MS is real and often under-addressed, especially where fatigue, muscle weakness, and sensory changes combine to make everyday movement less predictable. Our physiotherapists perform a comprehensive balance assessment to pinpoint your specific falls risk and what's driving it
Walking and mobility work
We start with a detailed assessment of your walking pattern, gait speed, and endurance to identify exactly what is affecting your mobility and activity tolerance. We will then implement targeted gait retraining interventions to improve your walking capacity in MS.
Strength and conditioning
Our physiotherapists use progressive resistance training to address specific areas of muscle weakness associated with MS. This is combined with general conditioning to counteract the broader health consequences of reduced physical activity, which can compound over time if left unmanaged.
Spasticity and muscle tightness management
Our physiotherapists use targeted stretching, positioning, and movement strategies to manage spasticity and muscle tightness, alongside maintaining range of motion. We also liaise directly with your neurologist, ensuring your care works as one coordinated plan rather than in isolation.
Rehabilitation accounting for relapses and fluctuation
MS doesn't progress in a straight line, and many people experience relapses and fluctuations in their function. Our physiotherapists adjust intensity, focus, and goals to match where you're at, helping you maintain function, mobility and confidence through the ups and downs.
Equipment prescription and carer education
Mobility and transfer equipment assessed and prescribed where appropriate, and practical training for partners and family providing support.

Why myNeuro for for MS
Neurological rehabilitation is the core of the business
myNeuro was built around neurological rehabilitation, so MS is core work rather than an occasional referral. That shows in our comprehensive assessments and rehabilitation approach.
Home delivery protects your energy
For a condition where fatigue is often the dominant symptom, removing travel is not a convenience, it is part of the treatment design.
Realistic, long-term thinking
MS is a long condition. We would rather build something you can actually sustain for years than an intensive block that collapses after a fortnight.
How physiotherapy fits alongside your MS care
MS management is multidisciplinary. Neurologists lead disease management, MS nurses coordinate care and support, occupational therapists address daily living and equipment, and physiotherapy focuses on movement, strength, balance, mobility and physical function.
Evidence increasingly supports physiotherapy for people with MS, including for fatigue, mobility, spasticity and general health, and rehabilitation is not understood to trigger relapses. What is appropriate for any individual depends on their presentation, their stage and any other health conditions, which is what our assessment establishes.
Fees and funding
The initial consultation is free. Our rates are in accordance with regulatory standards, with no hidden fees and no travel fee within our service area.
People with MS access physiotherapy through a range of arrangements including NDIS funding, private health insurance, Medicare care plans and private payment. Eligibility is determined by the relevant scheme rather than by us, and we are happy to talk through how access usually works or liaise with your coordinator.
Frequently asked questions
No. Physiotherapy does not cure MS or change the underlying disease process. It targets the functional consequences: movement, transfers, spasticity, strength, balance, mobility and independence. Disease management sits with your neurologist.
This is the most common concern we hear, and current evidence generally points the other way. Structured exercise can support fatigue management in MS, with resistance and balance retraining showing particular promise. The key is appropriate pacing and progression, which is exactly what assessment is for.
Exercise is not understood to trigger MS relapses or adversely affect the disease process. If you have concerns specific to your situation, raise them with your neurologist and at your assessment.
We reassess and adjust. Recovery after a relapse is a legitimate rehabilitation goal in itself, and the programme changes to reflect where you are rather than where you were.
It is planned for. Our rehabilitation will be tailored to your presentation, with intensity and approach adjusted for those difficult days.
No. You can contact myNeuro directly to organise the initial assessment.
Where you want us to, yes. Physiotherapy works best as part of coordinated care, and we can share assessment findings and progress with your team.
Often it is particularly suitable. Where transfers, positioning and daily activities are the priority, working in the actual home environment is an advantage, and carer training becomes a significant part of the value.
